Siglo XXI Cinemas will screen “Ruido”, a Mexican film, to reflect on violence against women

In the framework of the commemoration of International Women's Day

Mérida, Yucatán, March 8, 2023. Starting this Thursday, March 9, the Siglo XXI Cinemas, which are administered by Cultur, will exhibit the Mexican film "Ruido", as part of the commemorative activities for International Women's Day, informed the general director of the unit, Mauricio Díaz Montalvo.

With the aforementioned work, he added, it is invited to reflect on the violence that unfortunately still persists against women... It is an issue that we must all consider and act accordingly to eradicate that evil.

"Noise" will be shown until Wednesday 15 of the currents, every day at 4 in the afternoon. The film is based on real events and represents a way to denounce the disappearance of women in Mexico.

The film, which has a duration of 104 minutes, is directed by Natalia Beristain. It is distributed by Pimienta Films and is currently in the catalog on the Netflix platform.
