Uxmal

Known as the "Thrice-Built" city, the archaeological site of Uxmal is one of the most representative Mayan cities of the "Puuc Route."

It is estimated to have been founded in the 7th century during the first occupation of the Classic period. Among its most notable buildings are the Pyramid of the Magician, the Nunnery Quadrangle, the Governor's Palace, the Ball Court, the House of the Turtles, the Great Pyramid, the House of the Pigeons complex, and the South Temple.

At night, visitors can experience the "Echoes of Uxmal" video mapping show, which is projected onto several buildings (please check schedules).
