General Director's message

Welcome all to this space created by the Board of the Cultural and Tourist Service Units of the State of Yucatán (CULTUR), so that you can find cultural and recreational options, regardless of where in the State, in Mexico or in the world your are currently located.

When browsing this site, you will find that CULTUR's mission is to manage the service units that are located at archaeological zones, at underground caverns, at craft markets, at natural reserves, and others.

We also provide cultural services, including the video mappings that are projected at Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Dzibilchaltun, Izamal and at “Pasaje Picheta”.

Our vision is to enchant everyone who visits us, whether it is local or foreign tourism, and we achieve it thanks to all the spectacular attractions where our service centers are located: from a boat trip on the Celestun estuary to see flamingos, to the magnificent Chichen Itza, considered one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, or to live the experience of the equinox in both Summer and Autumn.

Also, if you are looking for space for an important event, CULTUR puts the Yucatan Siglo XXI Convention and Exhibition Center at your disposal. This venue was expanded and modernized on the occasion of the 2020 Mexico Tourism Tianguis. You will surely find the perfect space for your event with all the necessary services to make it a total success.

We also manage museums such as the "Casa Manzanero" in the center of Mérida, and "El Meteorito" in Progreso, each one with different themes, but both great places to spend a very pleasant time and learn about our culture and our history.

We invite you to contact us to obtain more information about each location in order to make plans for your vacation.

We have modernized the electronic tickets sales web page so that from the comfort of your home you can buy your entrance tickets to various attractions: video mapping and even to the Siglo XXI Cinema. This cinema obtained the Guinness World Record for “The Greatest Disability Awareness Lesson” on December 3rd, 2022, thanks to the “reasonable adaptions” that were made to make them more accessible to people with all types of disabilities.

I'm sure that you'll be enchanted!
