Cultur declares itself ready to receive thousands of local and foreign visitors on the occasion of the equinoxes, archaeo-astronomical shows that mark the beginning of spring, and that, as every year, take place they will be able to enjoy in the archaeological zones of Chichén Itzá and Dzibilchaltún, informed Mauricio Díaz Montalvo, general director of the dependency.
Chichen Itza
In Chichén, he added, the show can be seen from Sunday 19 to Tuesday 21. Access to the site will be from 8 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon, although the descent of Kukulkan begins to occur between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. hours, if the cloudiness and the God Chaac allow it.
He indicated that it is recommended that they go as far in advance as possible to occupy the best place from where the show can be seen.
"There will be spaces available to park on various lots in the adjoining commons, at the fork in the Cancún-Chichén Itzá highway, before accessing the area," he explained.
For now, he warned, the audio-light show of "Nights of Kukulkan" is not scheduled to be screened, since it is temporarily suspended until further notice.
Dzibilchaltun
In Dzibilchaltún, the archaeological zone will be open on Monday the 20th and Tuesday the 21st, starting at 5 in the morning.
Although it is recommended that you arrive a little earlier so that you can find a place in the parking lot that is at the entrance of the area that belongs to the INAH, since it is very limited. Those who do not reach will have to park outside.
In this place the show begins at approximately 6 in the morning and ends about 20 or 30 minutes later.
In this area on both days, at night, the audio-light show “Pasos de Luz” will be screened.
