Workers from the Celestun and Chichen inns star in new cases of honesty

Both returned separate cell phones that tourists from the US and Mérida left behind

Mérida, Yucatán, November 13, 2023. On Saturday the 11th of this month, two new cases of honesty were recorded in the service units managed by Cultur: one in Chichen Itza and another in Celestun.

In the first case, in Chichen Itza, Blanca Natali Kinil Cemé, a janitorial worker, found an iPhone cell phone while doing her duties in the restrooms of the inn. The device was later claimed by its owner, Patti Hughes from the United States, who was delighted that it was returned to her.

In the case of Celestun, Mrs. Juliana Novelo Cetina, who is from Mérida, left her cell phone forgotten in the ticket office. Fortunately, our colleague Yury del Carmen Mateo Robles, who works in that area, noticed it and kept it safe. She later returned it to its owner.

Congratulations to Blanca and Yury for their honesty!
